Egyptian programmer Mohamed Abdel Wahab won the Great Coach Award, within the International Programming Competition (ICPC)

Complete paralysis did not prevent the Egyptian programmer, Mohamed Abdel-Wahab, from excelling in the field of programming, as he believed in his ability to learn as long as his head was in good health.

Abdel-Wahab managed to win the "Senior Coach Award ", within the international programming competition "ICPC", to join a list of only 19 programmers who were able to obtain it within 70 years.

Abdel Wahab became eligible to win the Lifetime Coach Award, if he continued his journey as a coach for different university teams during the next five years.

And the competition page for the Africa and Arabs region said - in a post on Facebook - "Each of us has a special memory with this young man, Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel-Wahab Mahmoud, the unique coach you will not find like him."

"This person who invented the word coach that we are all so proud of, is the new ICBC winner. You deserve all the best in the world. We are so proud of you, our coach!"

Hisham Abdel Wahab (Mohammed’s brother) commented - in a post on Facebook - that they were young in America when the doctor discovered his brother’s illness. He said consolingly to his parents, “Do not be sad, because a very famous scientist - in reference to the famous theoretical physicist, the late Stephen Hawking - has The disease itself, although rare. Hisham added, "The man (meaning the doctor) was as if he was a reader of the unseen. God willing, (Muhammad) came out (became) a genius."

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian programmer - who resembles the British scientist Stephen Hawking in his disability - graduated from the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence with distinction, and was appointed as a teacher before moving to complete his studies at the American University in Cairo, according to what he says through his account on Facebook.
