According to details, the National Highways and Motorways Police has issued a special advisory to all tourists heading to Murree and Galyat to refrain from visiting various mountainous places from January 18 to 20.  The advisory said that snowfall is expected in Murree from Tuesday 18 January while rain is expected in many other parts of the country. According to the advisory issued by the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to be gradually worse in the western and upper parts of the country from January 18 and this situation is likely to continue till January 20.  Meanwhile, light, moderate and heavy rains and snowfall could lead to road closures in Murree. In this situation, the motorway police has urged the tourists to refrain from going to Murree and Galyat from Tuesday to Thursday . On the other hand, a report released by the Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of snow and rain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and North Balochistan . According to the Meteorological Department , snowfall is expected in Murree but it will not be like the recent snowfall. It may be mentioned here that last week the Punjab government had conditionally lifted the ban on entry of tourists in Murree . The government will not allow more than 8,000 vehicles to enter Murree.
