Britain, Canada impose sanctions  The United States yesterday imposed sanctions on two Burmese military junta generals and some businessmen for their atrocities against civilians following a military coup in February 2021.  Gen. Ko Ko Oo, commander of the Central Military Command, and Gen. Zaw Hein, commander of the Naypyidaw military headquarters, have been added to the US Treasury Department's targeted sanctions list.  The 66th Light Infantry Brigade, which was responsible for the massacre of civilians in Phuso Township, Kayah State, on Christmas Eve 2021, has also been included in the sanctions list.  At the same time, Britain and Canada, in coordination with the United States, imposed sanctions on the Burmese military council.  Dr. Aung Moe Myint of Dynasty International Co., Ltd., an arms broker for the Burmese Army; Myanmar Chemical and Machinery Co., Ltd. MCM Group has banned Aung Hlaing Oo from visiting the UK and restricted their assets.
