Babar Azam and Shahid Afridi were taken to a safe place after the bomb blast in Quetta. This bomb blast took place when the Pakistan Super League match was being played. Top Pakistani cricketers, including captain Babar Azam and Shahid Afridi, were taken to the dressing room by security after Sunday's terror attack a few miles from the Nawab Akbar Bugti Stadium. These players were playing an exhibition match of Pakistan Super League (PSL), which was stopped for some time after this blast. The blast took place in the Police Lines area in which five people were injured. A senior police officer said that the rescue operation has been completed and the injured have been shifted to the hospital. The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement on Sunday, saying security officials were targeted. An exhibition match between PSL team Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi was organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The police officer said, "As soon as the blast happened, the match was stopped as a precautionary measure and the players were taken to the dressing room for some time." Later the match was restored.
