Israeli War Council Minister Benny Gantz undergoes emergency surgery

Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that Israeli war government minister Benny Gantz underwent surgery on his ankle following an accident that occurred on Monday while he was riding a bike in a settlement.

Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Minister Benny Gantz underwent surgery on his ankle at Tel Hashomer Hospital, explaining that he will remain in the hospital overnight, and is expected to be released tomorrow.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation had said earlier today: “Minister Benny Gantz was injured in his leg during a bicycle trip near Kibbutz Yad Mordechai,” adding that Gantz “underwent an examination at Tel Hashomer Hospital, which showed that he was suffering from a broken foot.”

This accident comes days after  Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir  was involved in a car accident in central Israel, and his condition was described at the time as “between minor and moderate.”
