Prominent American rapper Benjamin Haggerty, known as Macklemore, expressed his support for Palestine during a concert in Germany.

Last Saturday, McLemore said during his concert: “There is no compensation for this (the Holocaust). The only way we can atone for our past is to stand today against apartheid, against occupation, and against genocide for a free Palestine. This is the only way."

McLemore emphasized his desire for universal safety and love, saying, "I want everyone to feel like they can wake up and enjoy their day, breathe with their lungs and not be afraid."

He also criticized the policies of the United States and Germany in Gaza, saying: “What represents us are the feelings of our hearts, (and the positions of others) are not our responsibility.”

After his speech, McLemore sang a song he wrote in support of Palestine.

Since last October 7, Israel has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 118,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.

Israel continues this war, ignoring a Security Council resolution demanding that it stop the fighting immediately, and orders from the Court of Justice demanding that it stop its attack on Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, and take immediate measures to prevent acts of “genocide” and “improve the humanitarian situation” in Gaza.
