Doctor: UV exposure starts around 10am to 4pm.

Jakarta - Dermatologist and Venereologist Dr. Roro Inge Ade Kristanti said that exposure to UV rays from the sun that can cause skin cancer usually starts around 10 am to 4 pm, however this depends on various regions in Indonesia.

"Peak hour is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. But we have variations according to geographical location, there are also areas where the sun is short," said Inge in a webinar monitored online in Jakarta, Thursday.

According to the doctor who also practices at the Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, direct exposure to sunlight contains rays that can directly penetrate the deepest layers of the skin. UV A rays, he said, have longer waves that have an aging effect.
