Solo - PSIM Yogyakarta coach Erwan Hendarwanto said winning the League 2 competition was a bonus because the main thing was getting through to League 1.
He made the statement after PSIM Yogyakarta won the match against Bhayangkara Presisi FC in the final match of the 2024-2025 Pegadaian Liga 2 at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, Central Java, Wednesday.
Regarding the victory, he was reluctant to be arrogant because the achievement was the result of the work of the entire team.
"This is destiny, it just so happens that I am here. So it's not that I'm great, but this is a blessing from Allah that we must be grateful for," he said.
He hopes that in the future PSIM Yogyakarta can continue to exist in the Indonesian League 1 competition.
He also appreciated the welcome given by the hosts and supporters of Persis Solo Pasoepati.
"In the language of supporters, Mataram Is Love, with support from various parties, from the host Persis Solo, Pasoepati also supports us, thank God we can give our best in this afternoon's match," he said.
