Jakarta - A recent study investigated how luteolin, a compound found in broccoli, carrots and onions, can suppress the growth of gray hair in mice.
As written on the Health page, Thursday (20/2), retired professor of medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and founder of Pathways Bioscience Joe McCord, PhD, said the research published in December in the journal Antioxidants was interesting because luteolin is very common in human food.
The compound could be a strong candidate for further anti-aging research, he said. But it’s not certain that the same effects will occur in humans.
