Jakarta - Have you ever felt dizzy after waking up even though you slept all night? This could be caused by a sleep schedule that disrupts the body's natural rhythm, so we wake up at the wrong time.
Quoted from Medical Daily, Wednesday (19/2), a dermatologist from New York, USA, Dr. Charles Puza, via a post on Instagram, said that it is very important for someone to be able to align their sleep schedule with the body's natural sleep cycle.
"Have you ever woken up after sleeping for more than 8 hours and still felt groggy? That's because you're going to bed and waking up at the wrong time. You need to adjust your sleep time to align with your natural sleep cycle of about 90 minutes," Dr. Puza wrote in a recent Instagram post.
While getting eight hours of sleep is important, researchers also suggest that setting a bedtime and waking time after completing your natural sleep cycle is key to feeling truly rested.
