Jakarta - Indonesian women's singles badminton player Ester Nurumi Dwi Wardoyo advanced to the semifinals of the BWF World Tour Super 100 Ruichang China Masters 2025 after eliminating the host representative, Wu Luo Yu, in a match that took place at the Ruichang Sports Park Gym, Friday.
Ester, who was seeded second, won 21-18, 21-19 over Wu Luo Yu. Despite facing pressure from the home team, Ester was able to control the match.
"Thank God I was able to finish the match without injury and was given another win. Today's opponent was quite tough, so I had to play more resiliently," Ester said in a written statement after the match.
Ester said the key to her victory lies in her endurance, strength and tenacity on the field.
