Flexing" behavior makes a person not

Jakarta - Family psychologist, graduate of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Indonesia, Sani B. Hermawan, S.Psi., said that flexing behavior or showing off wealth causes a person not to develop because he only focuses on what people think about him.

"People like this will find it difficult to develop later, because they will always focus on what people do to them, not the optimal and effective things they can actually do for themselves," Sani said when contacted by ANTARA from Jakarta, Friday.

People who do flexing usually want to look successful from what they have to build people's image of themselves or so that they get recognition from their community. Flexing in the current era is identical to luxury goods such as bags, cars, or the most sophisticated gadgets that are actually not yet affordable, finally making people willing to rent by paying a certain amount of money.
