Obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Gita Pratama, Sp. OG, Subsp. FER, M.Rep.Sc said that the supporting facilities and technology for IVF procedures in Indonesia are not inferior to those in developed countries.
According to him, IVF technology in Indonesia can develop to compete with developed countries because it is driven by globalization so that access to technology exchange between countries is now easier.
"So globalization is a very positive thing for the development of IVF ( in vitro fertilization or test tube babies) technology in Indonesia, and I can say that IVF technology in Indonesia is not inferior to developed countries," said Dr. Gita, who practices at Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) in an online discussion monitored on Friday.
The availability of the latest IVF technology in Indonesia, he said, is also supported by broad access for experts to various training and education in related fields.
