Erdogan and his Italian counterpart discuss bilateral relations and regional and international issues.

This came during a meeting at the historic Quirinale Palace, on the sidelines of the fourth Turkish-Italian government summit hosted by Rome.

A statement from the Turkish Presidency's Communications Department stated that the two sides discussed relations between Türkiye and Italy and regional and international issues.

During the meeting, President Erdogan affirmed that the two countries are determined to further develop their relations and cooperation, achieving their goal of a trade exchange of approximately $40 billion.

He also stressed that Türkiye is making efforts to end all conflicts in the region, especially the war between Ukraine and Russia and Israel's attacks on Palestinian territories.

He stressed his continued efforts to achieve a permanent ceasefire and, subsequently, lasting peace in those areas.
