Gunungkidul Tourism Office: Number of tourists during Eid holiday reaches 143,992 people


Gunungkidul - The Gunungkidul Regency Tourism Office, Special Region of Yogyakarta, recorded that the number of tourists visiting the area during the 2025 Eid holiday in the period from March 31 to April 6 was 143,992 people with local revenue of IDR 1.51 billion.

Head of Tourism Development Division of Gunungkidul Tourism Office Supriyanta in Gunungkidul, Monday, said that in 2024, the realization of tourist visits during the Eid holiday was above 200 thousand tourists, while this year, according to data per D+7, there were 143,992 tourists, down around 32 percent.

"The previous long holidays were close to Eid, Christmas and New Year holidays, as well as the long holiday at the end of February 2025," said Supriyanta.

He said the details of tourist visits and local revenue from tourism attraction levies during the Eid holiday, namely Monday (31/3) were 4,560 people with PAD of IDR 41,349,200.

Furthermore, on Tuesday (1/4) there were 15,079 people with PAD of Rp. 154,731,600, on Wednesday (2/4) there were 25,040 people with PAD of Rp. 269,080,000.

Then, Thursday (3/4) as many as 30,281 people with PAD of Rp. 329,283,900, Friday (4/4) as many as 20,921 people with PAD of Rp. 213,057,300.

On Saturday (5/4) there were 25,967 people with PAD of Rp. 272,596,100 and Sunday (6/4) there were 22,144 people and PAD of Rp. 231,343,300.

"The peak of tourist visits occurred on Thursday (3/4). Initially, we predicted the peak of tourist visits would be on Saturday (5/4) and Sunday (6/4)," he said.
