Norway officially announces the establishment of full diplomatic relations with the State of Palestine.

"Today we officially announce the establishment of diplomatic relations between Norway and the State of Palestine," Kravik said in a post on the X platform on Thursday.

He congratulated the new Palestinian Ambassador (to Oslo), Marie Antoinette Sedin, on presenting her credentials to His Majesty King Harald.

The Palestinian ambassador, in turn, presented her credentials during an official ceremony in the capital, Oslo.

On May 26, 2024, Norway, along with Spain and Ireland, officially announced its recognition of the State of Palestine, and Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide delivered the necessary documents to Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa in Brussels.
