The Israeli occupation army says it intercepted a missile fired from Yemen and the results are under review.

The Israeli ambulance service, Magen David Adom, said it had not received any calls regarding a rocket strike or any injuries.

Yemen's Houthi group, which controls the most densely populated areas in Yemen, launched missiles and drones at Israel in solidarity with the Palestinians during Israel's war on the Gaza Strip.

Houthi areas in Yemen have been subjected to near-daily airstrikes, for which they hold the United States responsible, since Washington announced on March 15 the launch of a military operation against them to halt their attacks on ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

The raids come after US President Donald Trump ordered his country's military to launch a "major offensive" against the Houthi group, before threatening to "completely eliminate" them.

But the group ignored Trump's threat and resumed bombing sites inside Israel and ships in the Red Sea heading toward the country, in response to Tel Aviv's resumption of its war of extermination against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on March 18.
