Two veteran players, goalkeeper Tom Heaton and defender Jonny Evans, are reportedly set to leave Premier League club Manchester United at the end of this season.
Quoted from Sky Sports, Tuesday, this news was confirmed by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano who said that Heaton and Evans will soon leave The Red Devils.
"Tom Heaton and Jonny Evans will both leave Manchester United at the end of the season, this has been confirmed," Fabrizio tweeted on his X account, @FabrizioRomano, on Tuesday.
Tom Heaton returned to Manchester United in 2021 and only played three times for the Red Devils in various competitions.
The 39-year-old goalkeeper made two appearances in the 2022/23 English League Cup and appeared once in the 2021/22 Champions League.
Meanwhile, Jonny Evans returned to Manchester United in the summer of 2023 and has made 42 appearances, but has not played since December this year.
This season, the Northern Irish player has appeared in 12 matches and contributed one goal from a total of 623 minutes of playing in various events.
