After activating the sirens, the Israeli army announced the interception of two missiles fired from Yemen.

At 5:00 a.m. (2:00 GMT), the Israeli army said in a post on the X platform that "air raid sirens were activated in several areas of the country after a missile was launched from Yemen." The official Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that "air raid sirens sounded in a large number of towns in the Jordan Valley and the northern West Bank."

She added, "Air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport was suspended for a period of time this morning as a precautionary measure after a rocket launch was detected, causing a number of flights to be delayed."

Later, at 7:42 (04:42 GMT), the Israeli occupation army announced that its air forces had intercepted another missile, but without the sirens being activated.

The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that air raid sirens were activated in several areas, including Jerusalem and the greater Tel Aviv area (central), including the cities of Tel Aviv, Rishon LeZion, Herzliya, Lod, and other areas.

For its part, the Magen David Adom (Israel's ambulance service) announced in an initial statement that it had not received any reports of injuries.

On Monday, the official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that a missile "launched from Yemen" had fallen before reaching Israel.

On May 5, the Houthis targeted Ben Gurion Airport in central Israel with a hypersonic ballistic missile, injuring eight people and forcing millions to flee to shelters.

In response to the Houthi missile attack, the Israeli occupation army launched extensive attacks on the Yemeni capital last Tuesday, including Sana'a International Airport, central power stations, and a cement factory. The attacks came a day after announcing the destruction of the port of Hodeidah in a series of airstrikes.

These raids resulted in the deaths of 7 people and the injury of 94 others, according to the Houthi group.

The Houthis say they are launching missiles at Israel "in support of the Palestinians in Gaza," and that they will continue to do so as long as Tel Aviv continues its war of extermination in the Strip.

With full American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 172,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
