Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim said he was ready to resign without demanding compensation if his club and fans deemed him not the right person to lead the team.
Amorim made the statement after his team lost 0-1 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final on Thursday.
"If the board and the fans feel that I am not the right person, I will leave tomorrow without talking about compensation," Amorim said in a post-match press conference as quoted by AFP on Thursday.
Brennan Johnson's only goal in first-half stoppage time at Bilbao's San Mamés Stadium ended United's hopes of winning European silverware this season.
