Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight (77.1 kg) champion Belal Muhammad wants to show off his hand skills when he faces Jack Della Maddalena in the main event of UFC 315 in Montreal, Canada on May 11.
"I have used Canelo's (Alvarez) boxing technique. I want to test it. I want to test it and get the moment where I will prove that I am the best boxer in the UFC," said Belal Muhammad in a report on the MMA Fighting page monitored.
Belal, who is known for his relentless pressing ability and never-ending cardio and conditioning , continues to work hard to add new "weapons" ahead of facing Maddalena.
The Palestinian fighter said he used a lot of his hand skills in his last few fights.
He praised his striking ability in the past and compared his boxing ability to world champion Canelo Alvarez, although the remarks were met with derision from the UFC public.
None of that bothers him too much, especially since part of his job as the UFC's top welterweight fighter is making sure he's ready for whatever his opponent throws at him.
