Celta Vigo need five more points to appear in the Europa League next season after beating Real Sociedad 1-0 at the Anoeta Stadium, San Sebastian, Wednesday morning WIB.
Vigo is still firmly in sixth place in the Spanish League standings with 52 points from 36 matches, according to La Liga records.
If Celta win their remaining two games this season, they will secure a ticket to play in the Europa League next season, because at that time their points total will be impossible to catch by Rayo Vallecano in seventh place.
In the remaining two La Liga matches, Celta will face Rayo Vallecano this Sunday and Getafe next week.
Celta have the chance to get a Europa League ticket earlier if their rivals lose points in the remaining Spanish League matches.
