East Jakarta checks suitability of sacrificial animal shelters.

The East Jakarta Food Security, Maritime Affairs and Agriculture Sub-agency is checking the suitability of sacrificial animal shelters ahead of Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijriah.

"We continue to check the suitability of the shelters in East Jakarta," said Head of the East Jakarta Food Security, Maritime Affairs and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency, Taufik Yulianto when contacted in Jakarta, Friday.

This check, he said, was to ensure the comfort and cleanliness of the sacrificial animals.

Taufik said that the suitability of places for sheltering or selling sacrificial animals in East Jakarta must fulfill several elements, including a shaded roof (100 percent), availability of food and drink (100 percent), and safety fences (88 percent).

Then there are quarantine cages (64.7 percent), isolation cages (61.7 percent), waste storage (70.6 percent) and disinfection facilities (76 percent).
