The General Chairman of the All Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) Erick Thohir has set a winning target for the Indonesian National Team's match against China in the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
"We are focusing on playing against China first," said Erick on the sidelines of the AFF U-23 Cup tournament draw in Jimbaran, Badung Regency, Bali, Friday.
According to him, if three points are lost at home to China, then the National Team will have a tough journey to compete in the playoff round .
"Meanwhile, our target is at least third or fourth place so that we can go to the playoffs ," he added.
He did not target two matches at once, namely against China and Japan, but had to focus on the home match against the team from the bamboo curtain country.
