FIFA has launched the official emblem for the 2025 U-17 World Cup to be held in Qatar on November 3-27, as part of the new identity of the first edition of the tournament with a format of 48 participating teams.
On its official website, Tuesday, FIFA said the new emblem contains a silhouette of a trophy placed as negative space in the letter "U" in the words "U-17". The silhouette also depicts a spotlight as the main symbol of the tournament's identity.
FIFA said the new design represents the global spirit, inclusivity and dynamism of football, while reflecting the journey of young players from the local pitch to the world stage.
“The U-17 World Cup has proven to be an important stepping stone for a generation of young footballers of extraordinary skill and dedication,” said FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström.
