Gerindra Party politician Hendarsam Marantoko assessed that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is trying to cut complicated regulations that often hinder investment.
"That has become his concern, even a warning to the ranks to improve the regulations," said Hendarsam in the Trijaya Polemic discussion entitled Government Performance and Public Optimism which was broadcast on the Trijaya FM Youtube account which was monitored in Jakarta, Saturday.
According to Hendarsam, one indicator of a successful investment for a country is that it can open up employment opportunities for the community.
However, what is happening now is that private parties from both within and outside the country are often faced with complicated bureaucracy when they want to invest.
"Just imagine if there is investment from outside wanting to build a factory, the regulations are long, 3 to 4 years will not be completed. This is what will hinder the opening of job opportunities," said Hendarsam.
Not only does it fail to open up employment opportunities, this condition could make it difficult for Indonesia to get opportunities for technological and information transformation from foreign countries.
In the same discussion forum, PKB politician and member of Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Zainul Munasichin, also said the same thing.
According to Zainul, healthy investment can create a stable economy for the country.
