The Verge reported on Friday that email summaries powered by artificial intelligence ( AI ) have been found in Google Workspace accounts since last year, but until now users had to trigger them manually.
Instead, Google’s AI will now decide for itself when a summary would be useful, creating it without prompting for “ longer email threads or messages with multiple replies.” The email summary will be continually updated with new replies as they come in.
