In a report titled "Erdogan's Wars," in.gr, one of the most widely followed news websites in Greece, highlighted recent Turkish policies under Erdoğan's leadership.
The website noted that the terrorist organization PKK has been "a dilemma facing Turkish governments for years," and that the organization's recent decision to dissolve itself "was a major gamble for decades, but now it significantly strengthens the Turkish president's position."
He added, "Erdogan is trying to position Türkiye as a country with diplomatic intervention power and a role on the geopolitical chessboard, and he has largely succeeded in doing so."
He pointed out that this situation applies to a wide geographical area from Ukraine to the Middle East.
He stressed that President Erdogan is ready to host talks between Russia and Ukraine while maintaining a difficult balance between them.
He pointed out that "Türkiye also has an advantage in its relationship with the new administration in Syria, and that US President Donald Trump has described Erdogan as a close ally."
The website noted that among Türkiye's other recent international successes was the announcement by new German Chancellor Friedrich Merz of his willingness to accept Ankara's invitation to visit Türkiye.
This also includes President Erdogan's attempt to play a role in the European Union's defense policy through Turkish investments in the Italian defense industry.
On the other hand, the website noted that President Erdogan has succeeded in keeping tensions low in Turkish-Greek relations.
