The Indonesian government through the Ministry of Communication and Digital is collaborating with Oracle in developing an artificial intelligence (AI) center in Southeast Asia.
This collaboration focuses on building the largest GPU cluster in the region as an effort by Indonesia to strengthen digital sovereignty and increase national technological competitiveness at the global level.
Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid in her statement in Jakarta, Monday (5/5), stated that Oracle will launch a public cloud area in Indonesia in the third quarter of 2025.
This facility is projected to be a data center with cutting-edge technology capable of supporting large-scale AI workloads, while supporting national data security and sovereignty.
