The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries stated that the development of lobster cultivation modeling through the Batam Marine Aquaculture Center (BPBL) has succeeded in reviving shellfish cultivation and providing positive results for fisheries development in the region.
"The lobster cultivation modeling developed by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries at BPBL Batam has produced encouraging results, this modeling has revived coral cultivation in Batam," said the Director General of Aquaculture at the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Tb Haeru Rahayu (Tebe) in a statement.
He said that collaboration with shellfish farmers as providers of natural lobster feed not only supports the success of the modeling program, but also has a direct impact on increasing farmer income.
