Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid revealed a series of legal instruments that Indonesia has to be able to take firm action against cybercrime including online gambling which is currently being fought intensively nationally.
In the Risk-Based Mentoring Program (Promensisko) event at the PPATK Building, Jakarta, Thursday, Meutya mentioned the important legal basis for pursuing cybercrime perpetrators so that it can provide a deterrent effect after being enforced.
"We have the PDP (Personal Data Protection) law, then our legal basis is also the ITE law which is already strong enough so this also does not need to be revised again, it already explains the legal sanctions against online gambling , and also crimes in the digital realm," said Meutya.
