Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo supports the presence of the Insan Cita Table Tennis Association (PTMIC) as a new organization that plays a role in developing table tennis in Indonesia.
"I appreciate and support what the Insan Cita Table Tennis Association is doing, God willing, we support the launch and the friendly match," said Dito Ariotedjo when receiving the PTMIC Management as quoted from the official website of the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports in Jakarta, Friday.
The Minister of Youth and Sports expressed his support in a discussion with the General Chairperson of PTMIC Rambun Samrdi who was accompanied by the Chairperson of the Advisory Board Fachri Ali, Member of the Advisory Board Andrinof Chaniago and the management team.
Rambun said that he intended to invite the Minister of Youth and Sports to attend the launch of PTMIC as well as the implementation of a friendly match between figures from the Alumni Corps of the Islamic Students Association (KAHMI).
He hopes that the agenda can be held at the Ministry of Youth and Sports and also receive direct support from the Minister of Youth and Sports and his staff.
On that occasion, he also conveyed several ideas to help advance table tennis in Indonesia, including providing table tennis equipment to schools and holding the President's Cup table tennis championship.
PTMIC believes that table tennis is a sport that is very popular with the public, so that equipment assistance is very useful for encouraging the interest of the younger generation in playing table tennis from the educational level.
