More than 32 martyrs in new massacres in Gaza... and the occupation decides to expand the genocide in Rafah.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said in a statement on Tuesday: "32 martyrs (including 9 recovered martyrs) and 119 injured people arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals in the last 24 hours."

The statement indicated that "a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them."

He added that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 52,567 martyrs and 118,610 wounded.

He also pointed out that the death toll since the resumption of the war of extermination on the Gaza Strip on March 18 has reached 2,459, while the number of injured has reached 6,569.

In a related context, the ministry warned in a press statement that "measures to rationalize the consumption of the remaining fuel needed to operate hospital generators will not allow more time for the generators to continue operating and ensure the continuity of healthcare services."

She renewed the urgent appeal "to ensure the supply of fuel to hospitals."

Expanding the genocide

This coincided with the Israeli occupation army's announcement, in a statement on Tuesday, that it intends to expand its genocide against Palestinians in the Rafah area in the southern Gaza Strip.

The army said: "After completing the encirclement of Rafah several weeks ago, army forces are continuing their operations in the area, and it is expected that the operation will expand to include several additional locations and neighborhoods."

He claimed that "so far, the forces of the 188th Brigade's troop group, under the command of the 36th Division, have been able to locate and destroy dozens of enemy combat vehicles and infrastructure, and eliminate dozens of militants in Rafah."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a televised address posted on his X account on Monday: "We sat in the cabinet until late last night (Sunday) and decided to launch an intensive military operation in Gaza, based on the recommendation of the Chief of Staff (Eyal Zamir)."

In turn, Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee announced in a post on the X platform on Monday the launch of what he described as a "new and more violent phase" of the aggression against Gaza, dubbed "Gideon's Vehicles."

Adraee explained that the new operation will include "a large-scale attack and the displacement of most of the Gaza Strip's residents to an area free of Hamas elements," under the pretext of protecting them, he said.

On March 18, Israel reneged on the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in effect since January 19, and resumed its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, despite Hamas's adherence to all terms of the agreement.
