A total of 48 women from all over Indonesia participated in the women's soccer coach licensing program conducted by the All Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) at the Bali United Training Center, Gianyar Regency, Bali.
"We want to form female coaches who are not only reliable on the field, but also capable of becoming leaders in their communities," said PSSI Women's Football Committee Chair Vivin Cahyani Sungkono in Sukawati, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Wednesday.
The D License Coaching Education Scholarship Program which will run until Monday (26/5) is being implemented by PSSI, FIFA, and Bali United as the host.
Vivin added that the program was not just training, but a long-term investment in women's football in the country.
The scholarship program is also inseparable from PSSI's grand vision to realize Indonesia's participation in the 2031 Women's World Cup.
"We believe that through structured investment in female coaches, this target will become more realistic to achieve," added Vivin.
The licensing scholarship program was established following the success of the FIFA-GIZ Women's Empowerment Program in Surabaya, which has graduated 25 certified female coaches.
