Rans Simba Bogor confirmed their dominance over Hangtuah Jakarta in the 2025 IBL after winning their second meeting this season with a score of 86-70 in Bogor.
At the first meeting, March 7, 2025,Rans was able to defeat Hangtuah with a score of 86-85.
The positive results made Rans firmly in second place in the 2025 IBL standings with a collection of 31 points from 17 matches (14 wins)
Meanwhile, Hangtuah is stalking in third place with the same number of points from 18 matches but fewer total wins (13 times).
In the last meeting between the two teams, Rans appeared dominant from the start, which made them able to lead by 18 points over Hangtuah in the first half (score 46-28).
Statistics show that in the first phase, Rans was able to score 20 shots from 34 attempts.
In the second half, both Rans and Hangtuah appeared more open. The game became more intense which made physical contact commonplace.
The situation caused both teams to lose both of their players in the third quarter. Rans had to fight without Devon Van Oostrum who was sent off for being considered to have committed two unsportsmanlike fouls against Hangtuah player Althof Satrio.
Althof was no longer in the arena because the referee considered him to be the person who triggered the commotion with Oostrum.
