Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min admitted he was inspired by the success of his former teammate Harry Kane who managed to win the first trophy of his professional career.
Harry Kane ended his trophy drought after Bayern won their 33rd Bundesliga title last week. The trophy also ended Kane's trophyless journey, having played 694 games for club and country without lifting a single trophy.
Son Heung-min hopes Kane's success in winning his first trophy can be an added motivation for him to lead Tottenham to the Europa League trophy in the final against Manchester United.
"He (Kane) is one of my best friends and seeing his former team-mate achieve so much, I'm happy for him like he's my family. With that positive energy, I hope he can support Spurs so we can achieve good results like his," the South Korean striker was quoted as saying by AFP.
