The National News Agency reported that the Israeli bombardment targeted the Randa neighborhood in the eastern part of the town of Aita al-Shaab. It also reported that the bomb dropped by the drone exploded in an area between the towns of Yarin and Dahra in the South Governorate.
In a related development, two Lebanese citizens were injured in the border town of Maroun al-Ras by rubber bullets fired by Israeli occupation forces, according to the Ministry of Health's Public Health Emergency Operations Center.
On October 8, 2023, Israel launched an aggression against Lebanon, which escalated into a full-scale war on September 23, 2024, resulting in more than 4,000 deaths and approximately 17,000 injuries, in addition to the displacement of approximately 1.4 million people.
Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect last November, Israel has committed at least 2,777 violations, leaving at least 199 dead and 491 wounded, according to an Anadolu Agency tally based on official data.
Israel has reneged on its commitment to complete its withdrawal from southern Lebanon by February 18, contrary to the agreement. Instead, it has implemented a partial withdrawal and continues to occupy five major Lebanese hills, within the areas it occupied during the last war.
