The occupation targets civilians receiving aid in Gaza and claims to have "emptied" Khan Yunis.

The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that three Palestinians were killed and dozens injured by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire as they attempted to reach an aid distribution center near Al-Alam roundabout, west of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported that a Palestinian was killed and others were injured in an Israeli drone strike on the Safi neighborhood in the Al-Sikka area in the center of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Specialized crews were able to recover the bodies of two martyrs who were killed in a previous Israeli bombardment that targeted the town of Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces targeted the Qizan al-Najjar and Qizan Abu Rashwan areas near Khan Yunis with air and artillery bombardment.

The occupation army blew up a number of residential buildings in the town of Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Yunis.

Artillery shelling and the demolition of residential buildings southeast of Deir al-Balah city in the central Gaza Strip also targeted the area.

Israeli warplanes and drones intensified their bombardment and targeting of the eastern areas of Jabalia town in the northern Gaza Strip, coinciding with artillery shelling of the northeastern areas of Jabalia camp.

Massacres across Gaza

On Friday evening, medical sources reported that seven Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Jabalia al-Nazla, north of the Gaza Strip. Three other Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a civilian gathering in the Saftawi area (north).

An Israeli airstrike targeted the western part of Jabalia camp (north), killing two Palestinians, while three Palestinians were killed in separate shelling in the northern governorate.

In Gaza City, sources reported the deaths of 10 Palestinians in four Israeli airstrikes, including three civilians who were killed in a bombing that targeted a building in the Old City, two who were killed in a bombing that targeted a gathering of civilians in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood southwest of Gaza City, and a sixth who was killed in a bombing that targeted a house east of Gaza City.

Meanwhile, four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack near Al-Zahraa School in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, east of Gaza City, according to medical sources.

In the central governorate, medical sources reported that six Palestinians were killed in two Israeli airstrikes. The first targeted a gathering of civilians west of Deir al-Balah, while the second targeted a barbershop in the al-Bureij refugee camp.

In the southern Gaza Strip, an Israeli airstrike targeted a tent housing displaced persons near the Asdaa area, northwest of Khan Yunis, killing 13 Palestinians, including four children and four women. A second airstrike targeted a civilian vehicle in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of the city, killing two Palestinians.

Two Palestinians were killed in an airstrike that targeted a tent housing displaced persons in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis, and a third Palestinian was killed in an airstrike on another tent in the industrial area west of the city.

Two Palestinians were also killed by Israeli forces, one of them while trying to reach an aid distribution center in the Al-Shakoush area, northwest of Rafah.

Displacement of the population of the South

This comes as the Hebrew website "Walla" reported this morning, Saturday, that sources in the occupation army (which it did not name) claimed that its forces in the Gaza Strip "made additional progress last night (Friday) in terms of controlling and cleansing additional parts of the city of Khan Yunis."

The same source claimed that "most parts of the city are now empty of civilians," adding that "the army is not content with merely occupying territory, but is also systematically destroying the terrorists' infrastructure, making it impossible to return to it."

unprecedented disaster

On the humanitarian front, UN Secretary-General's spokesman, Stéphane Dujarric, said at a press conference on Friday: "Our colleagues at the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that the disaster in Gaza is at its worst since the beginning of the war."

Dujarric noted Israel's evacuation of Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza and the ongoing forced displacement of Palestinians from the Strip, with the number of displaced persons reaching approximately 200,000 in the past two weeks.

He explained that the United Nations and its partners continue to provide humanitarian support to civilians in need in Gaza despite severe Israeli restrictions on the entry of aid.

He continued that the need for humanitarian aid has reached unprecedented levels, with the blockade in place for 80 days, noting that the limited amounts of aid entering the Strip are insufficient to support the 2.1 million people in dire need.

With full American support, Israel has been committing genocidal crimes in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 178,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands displaced.
