"We commemorate with respect and gratitude the five citizens who lost their lives in the racist attack in Solingen 32 years ago," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The statement added, "Despite losing family members in the attack, we respectfully and gratefully commemorate Mevlüt Genç, who demonstrated exemplary leadership through her calls for moderation and passed away in 2022."
The Turkish Foreign Ministry affirmed that the country will resolutely continue its struggle against rising racism, xenophobia, and Islamophobia in all forums and platforms.
