Two Israelis were seriously injured, and the occupation army targeted a Palestinian and called in reinforcements in the northern West Bank

The Israeli ambulance service, Magen David Adom, said in a statement: "Following a shooting attack on Route 446 between Bruqin (a Palestinian town) and Peduel (a settlement), it was found that the shooting targeted a vehicle carrying a man and a woman in their thirties," resulting in their critical and serious injuries.

Hamas said in a statement that "the heroic shooting attack targeting a settler car near the town of Bruqin, west of Salfit, comes in response to the occupation's escalating crimes and ongoing aggression against our people in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, and against our prisoners and holy sites."

She stated, "This heroic act represents the true pulse of the West Bank and reflects the spirit of resistance inherent in our people, who will not accept injustice and aggression and continue to respond to the crimes, aggression, and malicious plans of the occupation aimed at controlling our land and displacing our people."

In a related development, the Israeli occupation army shot and wounded a Palestinian youth on Wednesday evening, called in reinforcements, and closed the entrances to towns in the northern and central occupied West Bank, while settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles.

The government-run Voice of Palestine radio reported that "a young man was injured by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire in the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya (north)." The radio continued, "The occupation forces are firing heavily and preventing an ambulance from reaching the injured person."

Meanwhile, the official Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported that "the occupation forces were on alert after a shooting attack west of Salfit that resulted in two injuries, one of which was critical and the other serious, according to Hebrew media."

The agency reported that the army stormed the towns of Haris and Burqin, west of Salfit, closing shops and searching locations in the two villages. It also launched drones over villages and towns in the governorate, particularly in the western part. The agency added that the Israeli army closed checkpoints in the villages of Atara, Nabi Saleh, Aboud, and Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya in the Ramallah governorate.

Settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles with stones near the Shilo settlement on the road between Ramallah and Nablus, according to WAFA.

In parallel with the genocidal war in Gaza, the Israeli military and settlers have escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of more than 962 Palestinians, the injury of nearly 7,000 others, and the arrest of more than 17,000, according to Palestinian data.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with full American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, leaving approximately 173,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
