The commission said in a post on its X platform on Monday that the majority of these displaced people had been forced to flee their homes more than once due to the continuing difficult conditions.
The Commission explained that it is currently impossible to secure shelter for them, stressing the urgent need for support to protect Yemeni families.
In this context, the Houthi group announced Monday morning that Al-Jawf Governorate, northern Yemen, had been subjected to a new US aggression, consisting of eight airstrikes targeting the Al-Hazm district.
The Houthi-affiliated Al Masirah TV channel reported in a breaking news report: "A US aggression with eight raids on Al Hazm District in Al Jawf Governorate," without providing details on the repercussions of the airstrikes. No official comment had been issued by the United States as of 08:20 GMT.
Later Monday morning, the group announced three additional US airstrikes on the Khabb wa ash Sha'af district in Al Jawf, bringing the total number of US airstrikes on the governorate to 11 for the day.
For more than two and a half years, Yemen has been experiencing a fragile truce following a nearly ten-year war between Yemeni government forces and the Houthi group, which has controlled the capital, Sanaa, and a number of other cities and governorates since September 21, 2014.
This war has resulted in the destruction of most of the country's vital sectors, leaving Yemen facing one of the most catastrophic humanitarian crises in the world, according to United Nations reports.
Yemen has also been subjected to intense US aggression since mid-March, resulting in the deaths and injuries of hundreds of civilians.
