Vice President Gibran Rakabuming together with Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman planted Inpari 32 rice variety which is a superior seed using a machine in the rice field area of Sidorejo Village, Geneng District, Ngawi Regency, East Java, Saturday.
The rice planting activity in Ngawi Regency is one of the government's efforts to directly see the smoothness of farmers' planting needs in realizing food self-sufficiency, starting from the availability of fertilizer, irrigation, to good production harvests.
In addition to the Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman, during his working visit to Ngawi Regency this time, Vice President Gibran was also welcomed by the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa and the Regent of Ngawi Ony Anwar Harsono.
Gibran assessed that as one of the rice barns in Indonesia, Ngawi Regency plays an important role in maintaining national food security. He also appreciated the harvest achievements in Ngawi which were included in the best areas.
