Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered a speech at the opening of the forum, explaining that the State of Qatar will launch a new project with global ambitions, which will be unveiled this year.
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of ministers representing several countries, senior officials, parliamentarians, intellectuals, economists, businessmen, media figures, representatives of regional and international organizations, and guests of the forum.
Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek will participate in the forum and will be a speaker at a high-level session titled "Global Growth and Economic Geopolitics."
Simsek will be accompanied at the session by Qatari Finance Minister Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari and Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al Ibrahim.
Participants in the session will address topics such as global economic prospects, growth dynamics in countries, and opportunities for regional cooperation.
As part of his visit to Doha, Minister Şimşek will participate in a meeting hosted by the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he will meet with representatives of the Qatari business community and assess mutual investment and trade opportunities.
Minister Simsek will also hold a roundtable meeting with prominent representatives of Qatar's financial sector.
During his visit to Qatar, Şimşek will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts, exchanging views on the regional economic agenda.
