The Indonesian Women's National Futsal Team is ready to rise and continue its struggle in the 2025 Women's Asian Futsal Cup by facing the strong team Thailand.
This match will determine the fate of Garuda Pertiwi in maintaining their hopes of qualifying for the next round.
After being forced to admit defeat to Japan 2-5 in the opening match, head coach Luis Estrella stressed that the players' spirit had not diminished.
"We will not lose our spirit for the next match even though Indonesia lost to Japan. We will take the result as an important lesson," said the Portuguese coach in an official statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
In the match against Japan, Indonesia showed significant progress in the second half with two goals scored by Ikeu Rosita and Dinar Kartika.
This performance is the starting point for technical and strategic evaluations for the next match.
"We have analyzed what went well and what we need to improve. We did that evaluation in the meeting room and we immediately applied it in today's training. Our approach will be different when facing Thailand because their characteristics are different," Estrella said.
