100 million euros, Sporting CP's transfer value for Gyokeres

Portuguese club Sporting CP will only release their striker Viktor Gyokeres for a transfer value of 100 million euros according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

"I can tell you that Viktor will not leave for 60 million euros plus 10 million " said Sporting President Fedrico Varadas, quoted by Fabrizio Romano in Jakarta, Monday.Gyokeres, is indeed the target of a number of elite European clubs, with Arsenal believed to be at the forefront of the hunt, followed by Manchester United, Juventus, and Chelsea. The 27-year-old Swedish striker who has recorded 97 goals in 102 appearances for Sporting since joining from Coventry City in 2023, is rumored to have expressed his desire to join Arsenal.

However, negotiations with Sporting CP proved difficult due to the high price tag and tensions between the club and the player.

According to a report from Record Portugal , Gyokeres even threatened not to return to Sporting's pre-season training sessions if the transfer to Arsenal did not materialize. He told the club president that he felt "disappointed" because Sporting did not keep their promise to release him for a price of around 60-70 million euros.Arsenal had made an offer of 55 million euros (Rp1.04 trillion) plus 10 million euros in bonuses, but was rejected by Sporting.Although Gyokeres' release clause is 100 million euros, Sporting are reportedly ready to negotiate in the range of 70 million euros (Rp1.32 trillion) including bonuses.
