64 Palestinians injured during the occupation forces' raid on the city of Nablus in the West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that its crews treated 64 injuries, including 55 cases of suffocation from tear gas inhalation, three from bullet fragments, and six from being beaten during the Israeli occupation army's raid on the city of Nablus.

The statement explained that among the injured was a one-year-old infant who suffered from suffocation. It added that the occupation forces are preventing medical crews from reaching an injured person near the entrance to Jarwan (one of the entrances to the Old City), and coordination is underway to reach him.

The association noted that it had dealt with several evictions from within the Old City as a result of the occupation forces converting their homes into military barracks.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Nablus from several directions and surrounded its old town. They said that the forces began searching shops and homes, arresting a number of residents and transferring them to interrogation centers in the city. They also reported that the sounds of gunfire and explosions were heard from time to time in the old town.

Witnesses reported that the Israeli occupation forces deployed forces reinforced with bulldozers to Nablus, amid intense reconnaissance flights. They noted that clashes broke out between dozens of Palestinians and the Israeli occupation forces, in which the latter used live ammunition and tear gas.

Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas announced in a statement the suspension of work in government institutions, schools, and universities due to the Israeli aggression.

Storming Balata camp

The Israeli occupation army also expanded its military operation in Nablus by storming the Balata refugee camp east of the city.

Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli force stormed Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, and deployed snipers on the roofs of several homes. They also reported that Israeli forces began conducting searches of several homes in the camp.

This comes as the Israeli occupation army continues its military operation in the Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams refugee camps since January 21.

On Monday evening, Israeli occupation forces distributed a map showing 100 homes in several neighborhoods of Jenin camp that they intend to demolish, according to the camp's media committee.

According to the latest data, the Israeli occupation's escalation has displaced more than 5,000 families from the two camps, representing over 25,000 residents, and has completely destroyed at least 400 homes and partially destroyed 2,573 others. The entrances to the camps remain blocked with barriers, transforming them into almost lifeless areas, according to the official Palestinian news agency, WAFA.

In parallel with the annihilation of Gaza, the Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of at least 974 Palestinians, the injury of nearly 7,000, and the arrest of more than 17,000, according to Palestinian data.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US support, has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 181,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, more than 11,000 missing, and hundreds of thousands displaced.
