American billionaire Elon Musk has deleted a series of tweets in which he accused US President Donald Trump of having his name in the files of convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
When users try to access one of these tweets, they see the message "This page does not exist," confirming the deletion.
On Thursday, at 3:10 p.m. EST, Musk posted a post alleging Trump's involvement in the Epstein case, followed by a video at 4:43 p.m. showing Trump at a party with Epstein, accompanied by a skeptical emoji.
In response to these accusations, White House spokeswoman Carolyn Leavitt issued a statement Thursday evening describing Musk's claims as "unfortunate."
"This incident reflects Musk's dissatisfaction with a major bill that doesn't include his preferred policies, while the president focuses on passing historic legislation that will make America great again," Levitt told CNN.
