Hamas declared that it is waging a war of attrition against Israeli forces in Gaza despite its readiness for a comprehensive deal, accusing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of pursuing illusions of "absolute victory."
Hamas said in a statement on Sunday: "The resistance is waging a war of attrition in response to the genocide against civilians, surprising the enemy daily with renewed field tactics."
She added: "The occupation's escalation of its military operation is exacerbating its losses and pushing its prisoners into the unknown. There is no solution except through a comprehensive deal, which Netanyahu rejects."
She continued: " The absolute victory that Netanyahu is talking about is nothing but an illusion that misleads his audience."
Hamas concluded its statement by saying, "The war that Netanyahu wanted to be endless has become a daily burden, and will be his political and personal end, after the illusion of a quick resolution has been shattered."
