The Government of the Republic of Indonesia has strengthened its role as a driving force in the region's digital architecture by initiating the Asian digital diplomacy axis at the international forum Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) Ministerial Meeting 2025 in Tokyo, Japan.
Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkomdigi) Meutya Hafid represented Indonesia in leading a series of strategic bilateral meetings with Japan, Iran, and Malaysia to strengthen cross-country collaboration in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and data governance.
"Indonesia believes that a fair and empowering digital future can only be built through investment in communities, strengthening local capacity, and complementary cross-border partnerships. We must not widen the digital divide—we must bridge it strategically," said Meutya Hafid in a press statement.
