The source told Fars News Agency: "The war that began with the Zionist entity's attacks will expand in the coming days to include all occupied territories belonging to this entity and US bases in the region, and the aggressors will be the target of a decisive and widespread Iranian response."
The source added that senior military commanders emphasized that "this confrontation will not be limited to the limited operations carried out last night, and that future Iranian strikes will continue. These actions will be extremely painful and will cause the aggressors to deeply regret it."
Arab emergency plans
Meanwhile, the Washington Post reported that the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum has launched a comprehensive emergency plan to ensure the continuity of the electricity grid and secure natural gas supplies, following the halt in the flow of Israeli gas to Egypt due to the closure of the Leviathan offshore field.
According to the report, Egypt relies on a portion of Israeli gas for re-liquefaction and export, as well as for domestic consumption during peak periods.
Several Arab countries have also announced the temporary closure of their airspace. In Jordan, the Civil Aviation Authority announced the temporary closure of its airspace on Friday evening, before announcing its reopening on Saturday morning, according to an official statement.
Jordanian authorities also announced the closure of the King Hussein Bridge crossing with the West Bank, a move similar to the closure of the Israeli side of the crossing.
In Iraq, the Ministry of Transport decided to suspend all flights and close Iraqi airspace completely "until further notice."
Syrian Airlines also announced the suspension of all flights to and from Saudi Arabia and the UAE due to the closure of the airspace of Syria, Jordan, and Iraq.
The Lebanese Civil Aviation Directorate also announced on Friday evening that airspace would be closed as a precautionary measure, starting at 10:30 p.m. local time and ending at 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning, before announcing its reopening at 10:00 a.m. today.
For its part, the Sultanate of Oman called on its citizens to leave areas of tension immediately and postpone travel there until further notice.
Since dawn on Friday, Israel, with tacit US support, launched a massive attack on Iran with more than 200 fighter jets, dubbed "Operation Rising Lion." The attack targeted nuclear facilities and missile bases in various areas, and assassinated prominent military leaders and nuclear scientists.
The Israeli occupation army announced that its "preemptive" attack, which continued in successive waves, came under directives from the political echelon. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that "the goal of this unprecedented attack is to strike Iran's nuclear infrastructure, ballistic missile factories, and numerous military capabilities."
On Friday evening, Iran began responding to the Israeli attack with a massive missile attack, launching more than 150 ballistic missiles, striking nine locations, including a fire near the Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv. The response resulted in the deaths of three Israelis, the injury of more than 90, and extensive damage to buildings, according to Hebrew media.
